LSTI job complete
The LTE/SAE Trial Initiative (LSTI) has now called time on its successful mission to accelerate the availability of fully inter-operable LTE mobile systems. The Initiative was formally launched in May 2007 and today boast 42 of the leading telecommunications companies in its membership.

In their Press release, dated the 26th January 2011, the LSTI looked back at four years of achievement to establish a solid base for the success of LTE :

The LTE SAE Trial Initiative has completed all important workstreams, Proof of Concept (PoC), Interoperability Development (IODT), Interoperability Tests (IOT) and Friendly Customer Trials (FCT), for both FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) and TDD (Time-Division Duplex). With these milestones complete, LSTI will wrap up all activities and publish the final results at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
