The 3GPP Organizational Partners, The Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC) and Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) are set to host the 3GPP TSGs#111 Meetings at the Hakata International Exhibition Hall & Conference Center in Fukuoka city, Japan.
The city has long been Japan’s gateway to Asia due to its location in southwestern Japan, making Fukuoka a natural hub for international exchange, diplomacy, and trade over the years. 3GPP is proud to uphold that tradition by organizing our quarterly plenaries (TSGs#111) in the city, from March 9 to 13, 2026.
In addition to the three TSG meetings, a social event and exhibitions are planned throughout the week, where a cocktail event for all the delegates on Wednesday will be provided.
Also, on Wednesday and Thursday, delegates will have a chance to visit some technology exhibits organized by the XG Mobile Promotion Forum (XGMF) – featuring technology showcase related to 5G Advanced and future 6G developments presented by XGMF member companies.
The week’s work in TSGs#111 will be balanced between the specifications for 5G Advanced and the early studies for 6G. The plenaries will look at the progress made during the first quarter Working Group meetings, providing technical guidance to the groups and considering any approvals needed, to allow the work to proceed towards the next plenaries in June.
