1st Remote Small Cell LTE Plugfest

April 13 - 24, 2015

The Small Cell Forum, in partnership with ETSI, is organizing a Remote Small Cell LTE Plugfest.

This is the 3rd event in the Small Cell LTE Plugfest series and the first one with participants running all of the test sessions from their company premises via a VPN based remote test infrastructure.

The remote testing techniques to be used were set up at the beginning of the series to support pre-testing phases and some participation with remote equipment. Since then remote test lab techniques and technology have been continuously improved to the extent that a fully remote event can be supported.

The Plugfest will allow the validation of Small Cell – EPC interoperability for the following features:

  • LTE-A Carrier Aggregation
  • Local IP Access (LIPA) and Selected IP Traffic Offload (SIPTO)
  • Closed Subscriber Group (CSG)

A remote pre-testing phase will precede the main event - where participants will have the opportunity to run regression testing and get familiar with the new test cases.

Who's invited?

Companies with any of the following equipment:

  • Any Small Cell variation: HeNBs, pico-Cells, micro-Cells…
  • Home eNodeB Gateway (HeNB-GW)
  • Evolved Packet Core (ePC)

This event is supported by the European Commission.
