From: Adrian Zoicas [/o=ETSI/ou=ETSI/cn=Recipients/cn=Adrian _Zoicas] To: SA5 (E-mail) Subject: SA5 mail#113: Excellent results of SA5 at SA#14 Dear SA5 Member, Due to your outstanding work during the last months and the excellent performance of our Chairman, Albert YUHAN, excellent results had been obtained by SA5 at SA#14 as follows: 1) All 32 CRs submitted were approved, including our favourite in SP-010637: Removal of Rel-4-specific functionality mistakenly introduced in (32.111-3 R99) 2) TR 32.802v100 on UEM Feasibility Study submitted for Information was noted. Good observations have been made by some Finish delegate (Sonera or Nokia), who was invited to make written contributions to SA5 directly. 3) WID BB Charging was approved after removing the limitation to off-line charging. The mandate from SA is clearly to provide both on-line & off-line IMS Charging. The SA approved version in SP-010654 is attached. 4) The revised WID BB PM to include WT on Trace was not approved because SA considered Trace as an important topic which has impact on others groups and hence needs its dedicated BB-level WID approved as SA-level. This is very good news for us as SA5 can now elaborate a proper BB-level WID with impact on other groups, supporting companies etc. for submission to SA#15 (03/2002). At the same time SA5 can maintain the momentum and continue the strong impetus in RG Trace work. The SA5 Chair announced that he was leaving its present organisation VoiceStream Wireless and that his future involvement in 3GPP/SA5 is unclear for the time being. SA thanked Albert Yuhan with a round of applause for the excellent performance achieved by SA5 under his professional leadership.
