TSG RAN WG1 (Radio layer 1)

Overview:

TSG RAN WG1 works on the   physical layer of the radio Interface for UE and UTRAN. This includes the specification of the physical channel structures, the mapping of transport channels to physical channels, spreading, modulation, physical layer multiplexing, channel coding and error detection. The physical layer procedures and the measurements provided to upper layers are specified in WG1 as well.
