
Results of 3GPP Satisfaction survey 2006
Description
The online 3GPP Satisfaction survey was conducted in October 2006.
The survey comprised 12 questions listed below and an area for improvement and
another one for general
comments. The scores were rated from 1 to 5 (where 1 is very poor and 5 is
excellent).
- Q1: How satisfied are you with the 3GPP Website
in general (appearance, ease of navigation and usefulness of
content)?
- Q2: How satisfied are you with
the detailed content of the 3GPP website (high level
of information, email exploder list information, membership information,
groups/meetings and administrative information)?
- Q3: How satisfied
are you with the support you receive from your "MCC Support Officer"?
- Q4: How
satisfied are you with the IT infrastructure (network, file server...)
during meetings?
- Q5: How satisfied
are you with the accuracy and speed implementation of approved
change requests?
- Q6: How satisfied
are you with the web based tools (online registrations, document
number allocation, etc…)?
- Q7: How satisfied are you
with the web manifestation of the specifications?

Results
The survey was addressed to all the 3GPP TSGs (GERAN, RAN, SA, CT) and
their corresponding WGs. 319 replies had been
received.
The results of 3GPP Satisfaction survey demonstrate a satisfaction of
4.6/5 concerning the overall service provided by MCC.
The overall results of the survey are as follows:
- How satisfied are you with the 3GPP Website
in general?
Three
questions were asked regarding appearance, navigation and usefulness of the content of the
3GPP Website.
The web
appearance obtains an average score of 4.5 ; 4.3 for the web navigation and
4.7 regarding the usefulness of the web content.



- How satisfied are you with the
detailed content of the 3GPP website?
Five questions were asked regarding high level of information, email
exploder list information, membership information, groups & meetings and
administrative information.
The high level of information obtains an average score of 4.6; 4.5 for the
email exploder list information; 4.5 for the membership information; 4.7 for the groups & meetings and 4.4 for the administrative information.





- How satisfied
are you with the support you receive from your "MCC Support Officer"?
Question 3 obtains an average score of 4.7.

satisfied are you with the IT infrastructure (network, file server...)
during meetings?
Question 4 obtains an average score of 4.4.

- How satisfied
are you with the accuracy and speed implementation of approved
change requests?
Question 5 obtains an average score of 4.7.

- How satisfied
are you with the web based tools (online registrations, document
number allocation, etc…)?
Question 6 obtains an average score of 4.6.






- How would you assess
the overall service provided by MCC?
Question 12 obtains an average score of 4.6.

Analysis
The overall satisfaction rating is high. The satisfaction trend is improving
year on year:
- 2000 satisfaction score was 79.3%
- 2001 satisfaction score was 81.5%
- 2002 satisfaction score was 89.4%
- 2006 satisfaction score is 92%
However some major improvements actions have been identified:
- Investigate improvements to 3GPP Website navigation and appearance
- Investigate improvements to IT infrastructures during meetings (LAN,
internet, access to local server...)
- Investigate improvements to Change Requests and Specifications database
presentation and ease of use
- Investigate improvements to 3GPP Work Plan presentation and ease of use
