Since 2000 I have been a part of ETSI’s Communications team. Coordinating press releases, conference endorsements, speaking opportunities and being Stand man[ager] at exhibitions and trade shows.
In the last year I have been active as a Web editor and technical writer, ensuring that the Home page and News & Events sections of the ETSI web site are up-to-date and as good as they can be.
From April the 1st I will transfer that experience in to my new post of ‘3GPP Marketing and Communications Officer’.
I am of British / English origin and extremely happy to have a French wife and three confused kids. I started work in 1983 for Texas Instruments, ending-up in the UK semi-conductor Sales and Marketing team. When the factory closed in the UK, my wife and I decided to re-locate here (South of France), where she continued to work for TI and I persuaded ETSI to let me in.
As a newbie in the 3GPP team, I would be very happy to hear from others in the community who want to take our news on-the-road or to get some web pages written about our successes…or who just want to get some marketing information about the Partnership Project.
