I'm a Romanian-born German citizen and I was involved since 1989 in ETSI (DECT, GSM) whilst I worked in the semiconductor industry for NEC Electronics.
I joined the ETSI Secretariat in 1992 as a Technical Officer, in charge of various standardization projects such as Radiocommunications (GSM, DECT, ERMES, TETRA, TFTS, RadioLAN, EMC), Satellite communications (S-UMTS, S-PCN, VSAT, TVRO) and TV/Radio Broadcasting (DAB, DVB).
Since
December 1998 I have been a member of the ETSI Mobile Competence
Centre in charge of various groups. I am currently responsible for
providing technical and administrative support to 3GPP TSG SA5
(Telecom Management) and 3GPP TSG CT5 (Open Service Access).
Since March 2008 my main task is to manage the overall 3GPP Work Program.
